| Mjollnir |
|
Mjollnir was built for Ross Chergosky of Intendo as a sort of Norse version of a Reaver. The carving work on it was rather more involved than I'd anticipated, but I'm pleased with the results. It's got an EMG-81 in the bridge, and an EMG-60 at the neck. The neck itself is a bubinga neck through with a dual action trussrod, and it's got a deep bassy tone. The ebony fretboard is inlaid with norse runes. The body is african mahogany, and the hardware consists of Gotoh tuners and a Schaller roller bridge. The carvings consist of Thor's hammer, the tree of life on the back, a berserker warrior, a pair of wolves chasing the sun and moon, a bird, and various others. |
