Texan
The Texan is a guitar with a host of strange features. The body has a flatsawn Zebrawood top on a lacewood mono-frame (which makes this a semi hollow body) with a quartersawn zebrawood back shot with a sunburst. The figured maple neck is actually a neck through arrangement with a very smooth heel joint. The skunk stripe is zebrawood end grain with abalone inlays down either side. The headstock is veneered to match the body with a mini sunburst on the back. The whole thing's shot with satin lacquer. The pickguard is epoxy coated wenge inlaid into the body. It isn't the normal drop top style though, the control section is held on by one screw and a thumb catch. The knobs are zebrawood with wenge caps, and the switch tip matches as well. The pickups are EMG SA's (active) that have been ground down, veneered and epoxy coated. The bridge is a hardtail affair with the string through body setup. The inlays are mother of pearl, and consist of an angry cattle skull, a lot of feathers, ascending sized dot side markers with double diamonds at the twelfth fret.
